“…Barrow, aka Mikkel Bøggild, IS THE CLOSEST, WE’VE GOT TO A Bruce Springsteen SOUNDING STORYTELLER” (side33)”

“…YOU WON’T FIND MUCH DANISH AMERICANA OF THIS CALIBER!” (BLUESNEWS.DK)”

Barrow was nominated for a Danish Folk Grammy and received critical acclaim for their non-compromising debut “Transition”, that was conceived in old-fashioned manner, without the use of computers, using only analog tape. But it was with the hit “Julia Wants to Take Me Home”, that Barrow cut through to their audience. The following album also earned them a nomination for best album in the blues/roots category. They still carry their honest, organic and americana-inspired sound, and their latest album “Crowded Room” shows, that they have the ability to reach the ears of the listeners on national radio, making it as Album of the Week, and that Barrow not only masters the deep and poetic, but also “…classic car radio” and “yes, it’s weekend-music of finest carat”.
